Well we finally left Stuart, Florida and Sunset Bay Marina on the St. Lucie River. They call Stuart the “Hotel California” of Marinas because it’s darn hard to leave, even after you check out. We met more cruising couples in Stuart than any other marina we have stayed so far. Sunset Bay is a great marina, with great staff and a fun place to hang out.
Here are a few pictures of Ft. Lauderdale, “The Venice of America”. We are staying on a mooring on the south west side of the Las Olas ICW bridge. The mooring field is small and is owned by the City of Ft. Lauderdale. It’s 2 blocks from the beach and is on a portion of the ICW they call the “Miracle Mile” so it’s a great place to see the parade of mega yachts.
